Holocaust Book Club Reflection

What does learning about the life of the main character in your book teach you about how you want to live your own life? Basically, it teaches you how to preserver or not to give up in a hard situation. In the book, Four Perfect Pebbles, Marion, the main character, preserved through the happening of the holocaust and in the end, she survived and lived her remaining years. Marion and her brother found jobs, finished school, and also had a little social life which they found their partners later on. It shows that she didn’t give up and kept going on with her life without the incident bringing her down.

How do the choices people made during the rise of the Nazi Party and the Holocaust teach us about the power and impact of our choices today?  It teaches us to make wise choices and to never regret it afterwards because there’s no turning back once you made the choice. For example, when Marion, her mom, and other people were trying to escape, they made a choice to bring an injured person with them which slowed them down, but it didn’t stop them to keep going. This shows that whether you’re in a situation you cannot retrieve, you must keep going instead.
